I decided to get one of those ebay mufflers and i recieved them about a month ago but im kinda having trouble deciding with installing it or not. I told my buddies about it and they told me that it wont look good or sound good. i got a buddy's uncle who told me not to install it because it wont be safe because i dont have the whole catback set..So what they all said got me having second thoughts..but i just wanna hear from you guys first. Here are some pictures of it.The tip is 4.5 wide and its about 6 inches.[img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][IMG][/IMG]

And the other thing..Im tryin to get my taillights black and i remembered of another way beside of gettin the overlays..right?

Pass on the muffler and save for a purpose built cat. back system.

lol, my brother has the muffler on his 2.4ltr Frontier, anyway its up to you, its not going to do anything wrong if you install it, but your not going to get any real gains out of it either, MAYbe 2hp maybeif your lucky and its cold out...anyway its up to you, it will change the sound and thats about it, if you want power youll need a full cat-back, but again it is your car. good luck

The muffler should not "mess up" the car, unless rolling down the road sounding like all the other fart can cars is considered messing up. The real issue is fitment. I believe that some others have tried to fit that style of muffler on the V and ran into clearance issues.

It is all personal preferance though. What sounds nice to you might sound really bad to someone else. If your not looking for horse power and you didn't want to spend alot, then that was probably your best bet.

Personally I like my Tanabe exhaust but I will sell it as soon as the cat back comes out for the V.

Parts always seem to work alot better when their actually made for the particular car your putting them on.

That's how I did mine... currently I'm the only one with them ever since CodeRed's Versa #1 died.

I think.

Well guess i better get the paint for the taillights. They should have them in autozone or a local auto shop right?

Has anyone done a "test" to determine if these various (including overlays) blackened/smoked tail lights would be legal. I think they're cool so I checked the Texas regs >> red must show at 1000 feet; the white backups must show at 100 feet.

I took mine to a muffler shop had them cut the muffler after the cat. no problems. feels good on the top end, sounds great. I use my scilencer because its loud wit out it. if all else fails put stock back on. and when taking advice STOP an consider the source. If someone has never done it or doesnt understand it they will always say no.

That type of film for one isn't really made to bend around objects. I guess if you got an EXTREMELY skilled tech he might be able to do it.

Secondly, that tint is made to go on the inside of your windows. It isn't rated for the outside environment.

take it from me....i bout a muffler from ebay that looked almost identical to that one, and it didnt fit. Ebay will kill your budget and your car. Stay away from it.

Yeah there's no need for this muffler. You might start feeling embarrassed to drive the car if you do. Just before the last big snow storm I saw a guy, goes to local college cause he pulling into their parking lot, who had something that looked like a 240SX with rims and fat cannon. Off a red light he got beat, twice, by an old lady in a Matrix. The car sounded loud enough but man was he going slow. Think of it as Chris Tucker and his attempts and kung fu next to Jacky Chan (although JC doesn't know real martial arts either, another story), all the noise and none of the action.
