Welcome to NICO

Congrats on your new G
Since you now have 180 miles on your G go stop at a gas station and fill your tank. Set odometer A to zero and drive until you reach the 1/4 mark. Refill your tank and record the number of gallons of gas it took to refill your tank.
Take the miles traveled reading on odometer A and divide that number ie miles traveled/divided by gallons used to equal MPG. Forget what the vehicle computer is telling you as this is a moment by moment reading off of the engine ECU computer.

I have tracked mine since new and keep careful records. Over 161892 miles I've used 6794.874 gallons of gasoline to give me an average of 23.826 miles per gallon. You may be able to do a little better.

You won't get an accurate fuel consumption figure from the car's display. As Telcoman advised, record the odometer and gallons at each fill up and do the arithmetic.

Although "break in" isn't as important as it was several decades ago, your car will run better after a few thousand miles. Lifetime average consumption for my G37 6MT coupe is 23.6 mpg. (I drive a lot of highway miles.) It didn't get over 21 mpg until the car had 1,500 miles on it.

I've had my '12 for a few weeks now. Looks like I'm getting about 19.7 around town. (fairly easy driving since I'm a female- lol)

I did a manual check for mpg last year:

The trip: 169 miles. 100 of those were up and down hills on the expressway. Rest was relatively flat. 5 miles max non-expressway
Speed: 80% of the time was 75-80mph, rest was 60-70mph
Weather: 85-97 degrees, 50-60%+ humidity
A/C: Yes, set to 70 degrees
Gas use: 6.587 gallons

Total: 25.65 mpg

I had appx 48k miles at the time

I get around 18mpg in mixed driving...probably more like 70% city. I'm well over 26mpg highway only.

You guys take your gas mileage SERIOUS!

I stick the nozzle in my tank, swipe my cc, fill the car, look at the total, cuss under my breath, go drive the heck outta my car.

BTW, I know it isn't a G, but I average 19.7.
