I live in Brooklyn NY and have had the Roque for a week and a half When i got the car it was on 3/4 tank and then I filled it up once after that. Since I have gotten it I have been getting 12.5 mpg (200-205 mpg to the gas light comes on) Has anyone else gotten such a low mpg since driving the Rogue. (My 99 yukon denali gets 200 miles to empty)any suggestions will help

Did you reset the MPG when you filled up? I believe you have to do that to get accurate numbers. Of course, I'm just speculating since I'm still on the first tank of gas and the dealer hasn't given me my owners manual, but usually you have to reset the computer when you fill up.

When I got my Rogue it was saying I was getting 17MPG. I reset the computer and now it seems to be working properly.

I'm wondering if any car can get respectable mpg in brooklyn. Isn't that stop and go at every block?

Don't go by the trip computer when calculating MPG, use the tried-and-true method, fill up and divide the miles driven on that tank by the number of gallons used. The trip computer works off of the A/F sensor, so it calculates based on fuel used vs. time NOT mileage.

You might try resetting the ICM (Computer) in the rogue by disconnecting the battery. It might have learned driving routines you would like it to forget. Another thing I have heard is that winter blends of gas will not yield as high a gas mileage as summer blends a couple mpg difference could be expected. But if you continue to get this mileage take it to the dealer. As you can see from posts in somewhere in the 20s is common.

I've been getting 23-24 in mixed city/suburban/highway driving. That's with a ski rack which I'm sure hurts mileage a bit. Also, the weather's been pretty cold. Unless you're almost 100% in stop and go traffic I think your mileage is low. But if you're driving in stop and go traffic and sitting at lots of lights mileage on any vehicle except a hybrid is going to tank.
