That writeup is great if you have a double-din stereo you are putting in place.

If you are installing a single-din stereo, you need to get a dash kit. you can buy one at http://www.versaspeed.com.

The cd player is allready put in but the cd player is just sitting there not mounted. i need to mount it before putting the dash kit on. the cd player needs to have some brackets put on in order to keep it stable and im not sure where to put the brackets on it.

the brackets are part of the dash kit

So I ordered my new headunit from Crutchfield and everything came included. However, I'm not too happy with the dash kit (plus I don't think I grounded it properly.) Does anyone have any experience with the dash kit from versaspeed.com?

Slickjd_2002, I found it easier to mounted the player inside the kit, then mount the kit. And bulldog it right, the kit includes the brackets, just follow the tutorial on removing the dash, then pop the player in the kit, pop the kit in, and enjoy.

(BTW, Love my new HD Radio with front AUX/USB. If I'm not listening to my Zune, the clarity of HD stations is immaculate. Plus the fact no one really advertises on HD stations is a huge plus. Just my two cents if anyone is thinking about getting a new player.)

I used the kit from crutchfield and found it to be very simple and fit very nicely. I used the screws from the bracket on the right side of the deck to ground the head unit.
