Is there any way the clutch could be the cause of the motor not rotating more than 15-20 degrees?

UH OH! If your engine won't rotate you likely have a broken timing belt or worse! Broken timing belt would just be replacing belt valves and having the heads worked at $2-300 each. Lets hope it's not a broken rod and or hole in the block that would mean new engine time. When was the last timing belt done? I'd start by pulling the timing covers off

If for some dumb reason your clutch would not disengage turning the motor would turn the driveshaft if the car is in gear, also you would not be limited to 20 degrees unless you had it in gear with the ebrake on lifting the drive tires off the ground and you can turn the crank and watch the back tires turn. If you put the car in neutral even if the clutch would not disengage the engine would turn and the brake or drive wheels would not be an issue.

UH-OH indeed...the only other possibility would be hydrolock but then you would get ZERO movement.

Movement and then a stop/no movement is a VERY bad sign, and really has few possibilities as evildky indicated so it's time for a serious probe... :ohno:

Thanks, I guess I just didn't want to accept the truth. I neglected the belt and I'm pretty sure it skipped about 7 teeth on the drivers exhaust can gear. Makes it easier to convince the wife that I need a new motor though :)

I'd pull the heads and have them worked, even get a ring and bearing job on the bottom if you like before I'd risk another motor.
