Please search for threads from an individual by the name of PalmerWMD. He used to be our local oil guru and I know that his posts are still around.

Please read the parts sticky's regarding which oil filter to use. Just about every part you need for your car will come from an 88' Nissan Pulsar NX SE.

(i havnt done so myself, but many ive talked to have found a rediculously thick sludge on pennzoil engines as opposed to any other)

and mobil 1 synthetic is the winner for what you will find at any normal store

royal purple rocks the house, and if you have a ton of cash, use redline oil every time

(im using mobil 1 for my engine break in, then royal purple for interval changes)

I highly recommend anything made my amsoil. I am a firm believer in their products. Redline and Royal Purple are also very high quality oils/products.

+1 for Amsoil+1 for Mobil 1

Personal experience with both, and outstanding results from both.

Remember that Amsoil basically invented synthetic oil...

I use Mobil1 15W-50 year round here in Texas. Great stuff. Not cheap, but worth it. I change it about every 8-10 weeks, and it is always nice and golden. Takes heat and abuse like a champ.

As stated: 15W-50.

All my SR buddies run the same. You however, would only want to run that heavy of an oil in the summer.
