Mother of all S13 engine swaps... cobra v8

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

Surprisingly, neither of them are in the way at all.

Get an EBay T70 then swap out the internals with genuine Garret bushings/seals and you have an awsome turbo on the cheap. Unless money is no option, then just get anything in similar size.

Block and heads are at the machine shop right now getting cleaned up and valves cut. Should have everything back Wednesday to start assembly.

I have 2 build threads up right now, one in the 240sx sub forum and one here. I think I'm just going to continue on in the 240 section to keep from having to double post stuff here. Linky: zer...ilege

More updates are in the link to the thread I posted up a couple posts ago.

What I'm working on now is the rear subframe. I have a q45 diff in place, one axle in place, the other on its way, all the bushings replaced with polyurethane, and it cleaned up a little. The motor and trans are in, I just need to fab a trans crossmember. As far as the engine goes, I just ordered a Holset HX55 on ebay today, $130 shipped I'll get some marauder headers and get an exhaust up and going here shortly. The next order of business is intake piping, radiator, intercooler, etc.

I'll post more pics as soon as I get to something interesting

OK for 1 did you ever finish. And 2 why on earth did you need a front sump oil pan???? Reason why I've got a mark viii engine and a mustang 5 speed I was going to stuff into a 65 mustang decided not really what I want and I've got a s13 vert thats been on hold for 4 years with a bad engine. it only makes sense to stuff it in there and get it going again.
