I did not realize when I replaced my battery last year that I would have to go thru a reset procedure or normalization procedure of my moon-roof to get it to respond correctly with the use of my "2" switches. Can anyone tell me what is the correct procedure to do this? Right now my moon-roof/sun-roof only opens about 2" at a time with every depression of the switch.

Thanks.

Mine has done this a couple of times, holding the close button for 2 additional seconds after it has fully closed seams to fix it.

Try this:

INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE
If the sunroof does not close or open automatically, use the following procedure to return sunroof operation to normal.

1. Close the sunroof if it is not in the closed position. It may be necessary to repeatedly push the switch to close the sunroof.
2. Press and hold the TILT UP switch the sunroof will tilt up. Release the button.
3. Press and hold the TILT UP switch again. Do not release the switch, keep pressure on it. After 4 seconds of depressing, the sunroof will full close.
4. Initializing procedure is complete. Confirm proper operation of the sunroof (slide open, slide close, tilt up,tilt down.)

I have a 2010 Maxima SV and I am having issues with the sun roof. It won't tilt open, or close by itself. As well as my radio is cutting off as soon as the car cuts off there is no detent. I am hoping it isn't the CCM or the BCM. But I need help on this one.

The sunroof reset procedure differs a bit depending whether you have a single- or double-panel roof. You can find the procedures here, single on page RF-7 and double on RF-88:
https://www.nicoclub.com/service-manual ... 0%2FRF.pdf

The retained-power (RAP) function works through the BCM. The most common cause for it not working is a front door switch reading open when the door is closed or an ignition button that's double-hitting and rolling back to the Acc position. If neither of those is true then your BCM may be going bad.
