I've tried searching, i couldn't find anything that would be any help to my problem. i'll try to explain with as much detail as possible.

the car is a 93 240sx se ka24de

i brought the car with a misfire. i replace the plugs with ngk's gapped at .38, factory wires, cap and rotor. that didn't help to much. later found out #1 injector wasn't firing. got an injector from advance auto parts, now it runs alot better, but its still misfiring. its smells like theres unburnt fuel, but no smoke. the car seems to bog, or is hesitant when on the gas. with a timing light we figured out that cylinder 2,3,4 were firing steady, cylinder 1 was intermitent. What would cause only one cylinder to misfire? I talked to a tech, he thought it could be the distrubitor itself.(not the cap and rotor) Could he be right?

i don't want to spend more money to just replace parts without fixing anything.

if i'm forgetting anything, i aplogize.

PLEASE HELP ME!!! tried searching couldn't find anything.

have you checked your ignition timing? have you determine what cylinder is misfiring. I know you said number one injector was not working but is that cylinder still misfiring?

sorry i didnt read fully 1st cylinder is still missing. maybe a burnt valve. have you compression tested? Hvae you replaced your cap and rotor? maybe the injector is still clogged or faulty.

yes i have done compression test. ~170psi all four cylinders. cap and rotor have been replaced. injector in cylinder 1 is new. no problems with the other three cylinder.

better i guess. you feel less hesitation at higher rpm.
