SWEET.

I will have to swing by once I get the new radiator into my S14, and get her back on the road.

About 10 min to install, and 10 to fill. Too bad the new rad, cap, and hoses dont show up till Wednesday.

S14 is all back together, sort of.

I had to relocate the coolant res, and its not permanantly mounted. Im going to need a custom one, it looks pretty ghetto right now.

I figured getting the car running was more important than finishing the partial wiring tuck, so the MAFS and CAS wiring is kind of willy nilly right now.

Also, the car is gutless. It boosts fine, but there is no power till near redline. Im guessing in all of my mucking about I messed up the knock sensor wiring. I will check the ECU for codes tomorrow. Chances are Im going to be spending some quality time with my multimeter...... Yay

Also, I took it to the car wash with the burnout tires still on it, and one of them delaminated half way there. There is yellow fuzz everywhere.

knock sensor, or maybe coolant temp sensor, or an injector ground?

Wouldnt be an injector ground, the idle is fine, its just power delivery.

Funny thing that you mention ECT. I pulled the ECU, and it had a knock sensor code. I pulled the harness, and found the signal wire had been tugged out. I fixed it, cleared the codes, and checked again. The KS code is gone, but now it has an ECT code.

Even with the ECT code the car feels worlds better, just a bit of dogginess when the engine is cold.

I will dig into that tonight is I have time.

I want to. I would have this weekend except that I bruised my back pretty bad during rehearsal on Thrusday- could harldy move for part of the weekend- better now. Once my show opens, I'll have some weekday evenings free, so probably when you have the caged car back I'll be able to throw some time your way. Chase is super interested too.

I talked to Doug yesterday, he said everything was going well, and on schedule. If Im lucky, I may be able to pick it up as early as next Tuesday.

"DUDE, WHY DIDNT YOU TELL ME" is what i said.

I can't wait to invest minimal time in this project and then talk about it all the time like i built the whole thing myself.

Might as well just let me drive.

In all seriousness, i've always wanted to be co-driver. And i cant wait to start lending a hand, there is so much i know about road racing, and so little i know about rally.
