Anyway my car will hit 70k soon. It is around 69,000.

Thanks for being a great example of practical, responsible car ownership.
According to the owners manual, 87 is okay for the sedan, but not the coupe. 91+ for the coupe.nismodan69 wrote:
i dont gett itt. how is it that you drive your car on 87 octane? hasnt that been known to retard timing thus lowering gas mileage and confusing the computer? if all that i have said is bs.. then i will start putting in 87 octane lol
See what you get for picking on Sean. He sent Big Louie to Washington just to mess with your car.Beancooker wrote:Damn AC belt wasn't even on the car, and the drive belt was split. They looked fine a month or so ago...
Hopefully I'll get another year out of my belts? They still looked pretty good when I changed my oil last weekend. 52° is not too bad but doing it in the rain does kind of suck. My car is garaged so that helps. I seem to recall Lacy is near Fort Lewis where I spent the last 8 months of my Army career back in 1966. It rained a lot back then so I guess its still raining.Beancooker wrote:

I hit a milestone yesterday too. I had the oil changed at 44k, and needed drive belts.
It was 52º outside and raining. My milestone, was that I actually paid out $50 to have Nissan install the belts. If this had happened in the middle of summer, I would have done it myself, but I was tired, and the weather was the suckzorz.

awesome.. how's it running? like new still?g35sedanlover wrote:I'm about to hit the big 100,000... only like 50 more miles to go
I have a garage, but it's small, and I wasn't in the mood to jack it up and down, and mess with it yesterday. 50 bucks is 50 bucks, not happy to spend it for something that is that easy to do, but well spent in the sense that I didn't have to mess with it.telcoman wrote:

Have you ever taken your G on a 3- 400 mile trip on mostly cruise control and calculated your MPG?oraleway10 wrote:I know its bad...
I recently changed the oil and the belts....
What else could it be? My car is about to hit 50k, another 50 miles to go or so....
Well you could always move to New Jersey.....No forget that, we have heavy traffic here too. I arrive at work at 5 AM and miss the traffic.oraleway10 wrote:No, i haven't taken the G on a road trip....I will take it to Vegas in about a month or so....
And yes, I have the WORST traffic you could imagine. My job is 7 miles away and it takes me about 45-60 min on the street....And the freeway even worse, 405 and the 10...foooorget about it
I hate living in LA due to the traffic, but then again...I really don't where else I would want to live

Save some $$$ and take it to your Nissan dealer for the stuff you don't want to do.kmckis1029 wrote:im at 31k... brought at 18k and its been only 6 months... time for a service...
got quoted $395 for 30k infinity sevice... i already did most of the stuff on the 30k list... just major fluids like tranny and differential left... timing advance... rotate tires/balance tires... all things i cant do in my apartment complex... so it should be half that $395...
I second that, as of four month ago I have been doing this and it has saved tremendously.....SVTCOBRA wrote:
