Might be a dumb question about transmissions

Would any one know if a 280z transmission. 6spd I think they can come in??? Could that fit a 300zx motor. As far as the bell housing and pinion shaft clearence. Or a simple bell housing swap do the trick.

Oya the engine and trans is going into a 240sx not 300zx

I highly doubt the 280z had a 6spd. Same with the 280zx. And I also doubt that they would bolt up. Most Nissan manual transmission aren't interchangeable.
