Hey there Datsun truck fans,

Looking to see what or rather confirm the nuts and bolts on the 520 and 521 are they SAE or Metric? Not looking for the fine print just overall Metric or SAE.

thanks

Yes, all metric . That said the brake hard lines & fittings can sometimes throw ya a curve ball.
PL521 6 lug bolt pattern for wheels is the the same as Chevrolet/GMC 6 lug truck pattern.
That opens up a lot of possibilities when looking for taller/wider wheels in wrecking yards or classified ads or yard sales. Lug nuts & studs will be metric
14mm = 9/16"
19mm = 3/4"

Farmtruck,

Thanks for the info. I was tracking the 521 was all metric vis a few components remaining SAE, ie wheel cylinder diameter at 13/16 and the the brake and clutch master cylinder.

I thought the 520 might have remained SAE, but guess not.

thanks again and welcome aboard,

Not so sure about that... Lug nuts on my '68 520 are 7/16" UNC. Definitely not metric. Also some other bits on the car (clutch master cylinder bolts, brake fittings) are imperial.
