yeah, it's probably not a problem with more than just a handful, Remington's parent company however does not f*** around with issues like that lightly.

Something's amiss with this post...

Also, I loves me some SIGs. The S&W Walthers, not so much, but I'd buy a pre S&W one in a heartbeat.
Guess I missed this response to my post last year! Good grief. What's "amiss" with this post. I came from AZ with a CCW and carried the XD40 LE version (I can do that being military). I want to carry here in Vegas, but the CCW course here ain't cheap.

By the way, I read through the rest of the thread and noted some of the newer purchases. I now own an LR308 with Docter Optics on top, as well as added an Aimpoint Comp M4 to my Bushmaster M4A3. Someone else mentioned they fell in love with Garands? I rebuilt a bastardized Garand. I have a 1943 serial number with a 1950 arsenal barrel. I since replaced the wood to be period correct walnut instead of the zebra striped birch used on Vietnam-era Garands. All the correct manufacturer proofs on the wood as well. I also replaced all the arsenal rebuild parts with correct era parts. So everything on the rifle right now is 1943 parts except for the barrel. I'd love to find a low use 1943 stamped Springfield barrel to put back on the gun to bring it full circle back to original. I have several WWI and WWII rifles. Oldest one I have is a Mosin Nagant M91 (not the 91/30) It has a re-barrel date of 1923.

you have to use the [img] tags to do so.

use the direct link of the image location and put in the tags

I believe if you use the reply button there are buttons to use for images.

I have them on my hard drive. It won't let me copy/paste to there. Do I have to host them on a site first?

oh man, you got a 1903 too?

get them from CMP?

<---I wasn't paying attention to your posts.

I don't know why you need an LE XD40, unless it's postban.

probably where it came from. I forgot about that stupid ban since it's been gone what, 6 years now?

you should take them out in natural light and get some better pics.

Yah, I was still learning my camera back then and didn't get good enough exposures. The difference on the LE version was the extra mag and the stamping from what I gather with all the research I put in. The other main option was the LE pistol was only $419 as-is and the civilian option was $540.

Neither the M1 nor the 1903 are CMP rifles. Both are as close to numbers matching as they can get for their age. The 1903 has a numbers matching bolt even. I also have a Yugo Mauser from Mitchell's, a Mosin 1891 and a Mosin Tanker M44, and a Savage Lee Enfield .303. I reload for all of these as well.

Not a 240 or 249. You can own an M60 because of it's age. If it's built after '86, you personally can't own it. You can get a dealer's license and buy it but if you dissolve your business, the gun must be sold. You can not personally own any full auto built after '86.

I've used enough of those to know three round burst is not worth the extra expense. I would take any major manufacturer AR15 over an issue A2.

They're cool, but honestly, if I'm gonna drop that kind of change I want a big game rifle...maybe a Ruger Safari in .375 H&H or .416 Rigby

The Tactilite T2 .50 BMG upper for AR-15s is renowned for quality and accuracy at an affordable price. Like the T1s, the T2 magazine-fed .50 BMG conversion kit for AR-15s is built around our unique "Gen-3" receiver, which is CNC-machined with an integrated scope rail from a single piece of hardened CRMO steel stock. The magazine well and catch are heat-treated 4140 steel, for incredible strength and durability Together with a free-floating barrel, this makes the Tactilite T2 inherently more accurate and stronger than alternatives costing hundreds or thousands of dollars more.
