Sorry for the long post,

Well heres my problem, I bought my 240 base model coupe, back in November, when I bought it, it had a clunking in the rear, and also a slight wobble in the rear end. In Decemeber I lowered my 240 with Koni yellows, and eibach sportlines. I also fixed the clunking porblem with PDM racings subframe align and lock, which fixed the clunking which was the subframe slamming back and forth.

So now it was lower, and suspension was stiffened and there is no subframe movement at all.

Now my car doesn't clunk but the slight wobble in the rear end, has become greater, it does it when I am driving at high speeds changing lanes, and also braking from high speeds. Before it wobbles when braking at high speeds, it almost feels as if the body twists before it wobbles. its not an up and down body roll type wobble, but a left and right type wobble.

I'm not sure what the problem is, but it feels unsafe to drive at high speeds. I know the things that are wrong with it right now, and I don't think thats causing any of the problems.

I don't have a rear sway bar, I have a 2 degree cross caster problem up front, but that should only cause it to pull to the right, and I have a busted drivers side tc bushing.

These shouldn't cause the wobble though. Does anyone have the slightest clue of what could be wrong?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd think the lack of a rear sway bar would cause the rear to get a little loose under those conditions and the caster problem up front doesn't help...

I think you should get a bar and fix the other problems, if its still loose in the butt then at least those are fixed and we can narrow it down to something else.

sounds like your rim is bent or maybe your axle got bent sounds liek the previous owner took it into a curb and did some damge take the wheel off and check if it is bent by rollign on the ground you shoudl see a wobble if its bent. maybe a suspension arm in the rear is bent or even shock. could be alot of things.

Depends on the year, S13's all had rear sway bars, and if there wasn't one on an S13, that could cause that... But if its an S14, there are no rear sway bars on the base model stock. I'm sure if its an S14, its normal to be missing a sway bar and that means its not the problem...

Maybe you already did this, but first i would check the wheels and make sure they are balenced. Posible brake rotors, but i doubt it, but maybe one more spot to check... I also had a set of tires on my supra before, and even though they were balenced, they were out of round, and i had to get them shaved... (shaving helped a little, but the vibration i had still didn't go away until i bought new tires.)

Hope maybe that helped ya.

It is an S14, its not a vibration,it's a violent side to side wobble in the rear when braking lightly from70+.

Check the rotors but I would also take a look at all the other things mentioned.
