I'm ready to drop an another VQ35 in the car....

I was wondering if anyone knows that a 2007 VQ35 will work...

What are the differences from the 04-06 ?... are the mounts the same?

It's kind of urgent,Thanks in advance.

PLEASE HELP !

Mounts don't change. The ECU and engine did. Might also be the same on transmission.

The engines are all the same. Unless the engine you're looking at is VQ35HR, the VQ35DE are all very similar.

I recommend against your hybrid. Stock ECU will have issues accounting for larger engine.

That's right! the 2007 G- 35 Coupe has the VQ35DE engine. It is the 2007 G-35 Sedan that has the VQ35HR engine. The 2007 coupe is largely the same as the 2005 and 2006 coupes. If there is any difference, it is cosmetic or a small change in the ECU. My car is moded out with modifications for 2005 and 2006 VQ engines, and it all works fine.

Whatever small changes occurred int he 2007 G-35 Coupe, may have come from the many years of learning form the 2003 - 2006 model tears. Beyond this, they are all largely the same.

I had a 2002 engine in my 1995 max...timing and everything else is 1995..

I blew it up going over 140 mph over about 1 minute...It consumed a lot of oil and there wasnt enough so the rod bearings just gave up...

it sounded terrible..

well about 3 weeks ago .. i found a 2007 engine ... thats why I was wondering..

and now that engine is in my 1995 Maxima on 3500 miles and runs like a charm ..

Thanks for the info guys

Late update:

Engine was dropped in my 95 max..

timing is out of a 3.0 engine of course..it came out of the 2002 engine that I previously blew up...

as of now the engine is at 8000 miles and the car is happy as a dog

For Future references

2007 has a plastic VIAS VS the 2004-06 VIAS.

thats the only thing but since your a A32 , most guys do the VIAS block plate.

Thats the only difference fromt that year.

2002-2003 VQ35DE does NOT have a EGR on the Intake Manifold.
