I have noticed that my 98 Maxima radiator fans don't seem to ever run. I'm assuming that there are one or two thermal switches in the water circuit somewhere that have failed "OPEN". Are they right next to the rubber hose where it joins the engine? At what temps are they supposed to close? Also, the fan have 4 wires going to them. Why? The wonderful engine seldom overheats, as long as it is moving.
