So...with the rebate check I'll be receiving with a few short days, I was wondering what's the biggest sizes (Front and Rear) I can put on the stock 7 spoke rims? If anything, I'll go 205/60/15 as normal, but any unique ideas? Anyone?

the fronts you cannot go any bigger with stock suspension.

So basically 205/60/15 in the front and 205/65/15 in the back?

Yup, you might be able to go a little wider but I probably wouldn't.

You run this on stock rims? The reason why I'm asking is because I plan to have the tires a little bit bigger in the back whenever I decide to dorifto. (which comes every once in a while; not a daily habit.) I just wanna get some ideas before I get new tires.

you confuse me your going with a bigger sidewall in the back to drift??? why...your going to have alot of sidewall flex unless your pumping up those babies with mad psi lol ...........

Why do you want a taller tire?

lol I don't necessarily want a taller tire. I'm just looking for something that's better than the 195/60/15s I have now.

Not to bring up the thread... but I wanna throw on wider rubber on my rear 7 spokes. Will 215's fit?

I think I'm on 195/60/15 right now, but dont quote me on that lol

I'm running on 225/50/15 on stock SE weels. you get a wider patch. there's no suspension rubbing issue as well. they look good too with it.

I've got 195/60/15 up front and 215/50/15 in the rear... I'll be getting new tires all around very soon but since i just dropped my car on coils, I'm not sure what would fit well and look good with my ride height set at what it is....btw i want to run either 205/60 all around or 195/60 fronts and 225/50 rears.. I'll post some current pics soon

Rule of thumb is that you can mount a tire thats ~2" wider than the rim. Anything wider probably rides like poo

Now there are some positives and negatives to having 215 or 225/50 in the rear from my experience

Positives:wider contact patch - therefore -better rear end tractionlooks better if u like a wider than stock tirealso looks good from certain anglesshorter sidewall, but more sidewall flex could be a possibility(although i get less flex on my 215's than my tall azz 195 60's)- it depends on sidewall of specific tire

Negatives:speedometer shows a little fasterlooks ugly to me from side view b/c doesnt fill up fender gap ontop and on sides...(see first pic)- and they balloonless sidewall cushion (not a big deal)may get some understeer

here are my pics

i had 275/50/15 drag radials on my stock steelies for the track, a bit of a stretch but fit on there and had no issues.

Quote:A Yokohama quick tip—use a rim width which is 90% as wide as the tread width of a performance tire for street driving. This will provide a good balance between performance and ride quality.http://www.yokohamatire.com/cu....aspx

For example: a 195/60/15 ES100 has a tread width of 6.8" and a measuring rim width of 6" which is 88% of 6.8".

Nissan new what they were doing when they equiped the OEM wheels with that tire size. Just put some sticky rubber on there and you'll be golden.
