max rpms

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

what's the highest i can rev on a stock spec but new parts bottem end ka24det...would ka24det be very good for drifting?...i'm probly goin w/ t3/t4 and definitely SDS standalone(the SDS will work for the ka24det right?)...thanks for the help guys

I think 7000 rpm is what the JWT ecu bumps it up to. Not too much to gain in the higher revs on the stock top end, and I've heard stories about the bottom end not wanting to rev much higher, so its probably best not to go much higher.

damn...will that low rpm range be bad for drifting or does it really matter?...i know i'm no master drifter or anything but just wondering...thanks

Man, that's a high RPM range to me...I think my old Blazer redlined at 5700 or so. I dont see why that would be bad for drifting, all you have to do is break the tires loose.

^wow.....................I guess youve never seen 240's drift. They dont need 10,000 rpms to get sideways, ppl do it with stock 240's. Its all driver, you dont need RPM's

Don't worry about how high you can Rev yer motor. You want to drift work on yer diff and suspension. The KA has pretty sufficient power to bust it sideways.

Has anyone ever seen a dyno sheet of a KA making HP over 65k? I havent..

hell yes... I've seen ka24e's built NA where the power band starts at 5 or 6k... and runs up to 9k. its nuts!
