marks on oil pump line up?

On the ka24e do you have to line up the oil pump marks,i havent seen no oilpump marks.What happens if you dont line them up.

The spindle will only fit in the pump one way. As for lining up marks it's better to line the distributor up and then slide the pump in with the spindle.
