I have spent a ton of time on the Q45a over the last few weeks and I am trying to decide how to complete the servicing. I have a set of new plugs but am reluctant to dive in there without further thought. Here is what I thought I could do in this order.

1. First run the diagnostics using the OBD behind the kick panel to determine whether any of the sensors are faulty2. Carry out the seafoam treatment to clean the engine inside3. Re-run the OBD test to ensure the O2 sensor is ok4. Change the plugs

How critical is it to clean the Plenum and is this a big job

I should be getting 4 recharged accumulators this week from Texasoil and this will be my job over thanksgiving

Plenum is a big job.... Id do the plugs first as a warm up job......

I have a writeup (fairly decent size) on howto do the plugs on my website..... See the Q45writeups link at the bottom of my sig (PICTURES... :D )

Also, goto your GM dealer and get a can of TOP ENGINE CLEANER (liquid, not aerosol)...... IMO, its superior to seafoam......

Also, just because you get a bad sensor code (IE injector leak), dont just start replacing stuff.... You need to address each one individually and we can tell you the best route......

Also, there are many things that go with the plenum job.... Its not a spur of moment decision, you gotta carefully plan out whats gonna happen.....
