make a 240 a 300

i have a perfectly good 300zx except the right front fender and everything aruond it is smashed. I also have a 240 with a blown motor. The question is can i take the 300 eng. trns. rearend and brake system and put it on the 240 without needing to hire jessie james and a monster garage crew?I'm sure its been done if anyone has some tips pleases let me know cause i can't wait to have the altimate sleeper.

I was looking into doing this a while ago and never got around to it as my funds evaporated. Which 300zx do you have? first gen or second? Someone already has a first gen (12valve) up and running in a 240sx, cant remember but its some tuning house, ask around in the 240sx forum at http://www.freshalloy.com I wanted to go TwinTurbo and there was a guy that sold kits for it a while back i guess. sposed to be a bolt on affair if you use J30 engine mounts and you have to dent the brake vacuum booster witha hammer. but then you need a custom hood and a few other trick bits. anyway enough rambling, i can forward you all the emails I received on it from various people,

what abour the VG30DET, single turbo? I know the 200sx SEv6 had a different intake to clear the hood, and the VG30DET also has this intake, or one that looks very similar. I am considering all of my options right now, cant decide between a built Z24 truck block with a L20B fully counerweighted crank and 171mm rods with 90MM 240SX pistons and a KA24E head on top of the whole thing, or I can get an FJ20ET for $1300 complete or I have found a VG30DET with transmission for $850. decisions decisions. then I have to decide if its going in the coupe or the hatch and silvia front end or stock........ arg, I need MONEY
