Alright, imagine that. Problem after problem...

Well, i was pulling up to a stop light. So i was braking, going about 15 MPH, and then it went green so i stepped on the gas to accelerate. I DID NOT floor it or even put the pedal down halfway, i just barely put in gas. Just enough to start accelerating again. And then right after i stepped on the gas, i heard a noise and then the car jerked a little. It's hard to describe on here, but it was as if the car was in neutral. So i went down through all the gears (D,3,2, and 1) And still had nothing. No power and the car just revved. So i had to get out in the road in the middle of the night and push it to the nearest parking lot.

What do you guys think the problem is? I don't think the transmission blew because i had no problems with it before this happened. So I'm guessing the torgue converter?

I checked my transmission fluid, and it was at the appropriate level. Also, i changed the transmission fluid, and filter about 9-10,000 miles ago.

No code.

I'm almost positive it's the torque converter.

Your probably going to have to replace the whole transmission, OEM would probably be not worth it because the cars not worth that much. I took a chance and dropped in a used one from the boneyard. Been working fine for about 15-20k now and cost like 600 total.

Some are lucky with junkyard trannies, however we have seen owners who have bad luck going thru 2 or 3 before they give up and come to us for a Nissan [JATCO Tennessee Factory] remanned unit. [$2500 installed]

If you have to pay $500 for swap labor vs do it yourself 5 hours.
