This may be a dumb question...This is my first brand new car with a warranty so I wanted to ask.

I have been following the schedule 1 maintenance schedule. My car will celebrate it's 1 year birthday on June 14. Some 3 month periods I did not drive as much as others and some more. so right now I am at 13,500 and almost 1 year.

I was told to come in next time on June 8 or 13,700 miles. I would like to wait until June 8 to get the car in but I will go over the 3,750 miles since my last service if I do. Would this mess up my warranty?

I guess my question is what kind of leway do i have with the every 3 months or 3,750 miles whatever comes first for the warranty.

I hope that made sense.

As long as you aren't going over 5k miles you should be fine, they shouldn't pay any attention to it.

You definately have some leeway. I work for a dealership and the rule of thumb is within a thousand miles of the scheduled service is acceptable. Even then though it shouldn't affect your warranty because we warranty cars for people that have never had routine maintenence done with us. If the dealership tries to tell you it's not covered under warranty because they can't prove it was serviced, you need to find a new dealership.
