A co-worker recently bought a 96Q with 100K on it. He has complained of occasional stalling and black puffs of smoke, and sure enough, tapping the MAF revealed the culprit. However, the plug is different from a 1990. A new 4 wire plug with a different shape and connector was used. Anyone know if a replacement plug for the 96 is available??? and what the fix is for the connection??? THanks

I call to Joe did not help---he is only aware of the new plug kit for the 90-93. Doesn't know anything about the 2nd generation plug's. Anyone out there replace one or have problems??

I was advised the newer design plug is damn near indestructible...

Perhaps a junkyard and some splicing would be the way to roll with this one...

I looked in the nissanFAST program (same thing Joe has) and I couldnt find the plug.... I found the MAF, but it didnt list a sepereate number for the connector....

Maybe I can revise the terms so I can find it.....

I have tried the same thing, for my 94 and no plug kit on the FAST program. Go figure. I keep a spare in the trunk for the 90. I would like to replace the one on the 94 however....

I have been too lazy to go out and see if they are one in the same.... I should do that and report back.

Was colder her in South Carolina this morning than I thought it would be..

OEM plugs look exactly the same on my 90 and 94.

It would seem logical that any updated kit would work on all.

My build dates are 8/89 and 2/93
