Sorry guys, brain skip on the wattage. They are 660 ohm, but they were 1/4 watt. 4.7 watts is what a little peanut bulb draws.madmanpauly wrote: ↑Thu Apr 23, 2020 7:17 amFollowing - Can you give specs on the resistor? 660 or 680 @ 4.7 watts?
DFW I shot you a PM FYI..DFW2011M56S wrote: ↑Thu Apr 23, 2020 9:13 pmNot certain now but when I was messing with the M56 the IAT timing compensation table was not there. Also not everyone is Uprev tuned.
Technically removing the Y-pipe (even though it is not monitored), is a no-no according to the muffler shops I've dealt with. Some shops will still do it though. Mine did. Removing the Y-pipe, which has the secondary cats welded to it and resonators (they choke down to 1-3/4" ID) will definitely enhance the flow. Since the car is tuned to run with the stock components, you will need a custom tune like Uprev to reap the performance benefit. Yes it will sound glorious even with the stock mufflers. I am running the sport mufflers which weigh less than half what the stock ones do. I've had multiple compliments from co-workers as I am leaving my shift. I paid about $350 to replace everything from the manifolds back with an X-pipe and duals to the mufflers.JimSim20 wrote: ↑Fri May 08, 2020 3:22 pmSo I talked to 2 Muffler exhaust shops today. Both said the same thing about removing the Y and resonators then 2.5" X pipe back to stock mufflers. Very little if any power gains because the bottleneck is the Cats. One shop said they would remove the secondary ones the other would not. Both said it effects the sound and would be louder...Does anybody have some proof from a dyno or something else that this mod is more than sound and actually adds some low end torque from a stand still?? Just not worth it to me if it's only a sound difference. I was quoted $350 for x pipe and removing the second resonators leaving factory cats and mufflers. Thoughts?
