Not too bad price wise. I am just thinking if it is worth it...power wise. Or maybe I am just being too picky :)

I guess every little helps.

Thanks for update.

ok so here the pics. for some reason the car seems even faster with the final product compared to the prototype. Also sounds like a beast after 3k rpm. I have the black chrome finish.

The introductory price will be around long enough to give ample opportunity to those interested.

Kool, hopefully I can make it as I was not one of the original owners that hyped this up since I had an M35 when this was started up! However, I am very interested in this piece for my M45!!

How does this intake work when someone adds an exhaust? I know from the previous CAI or short air rams that they were good alone but didn't help when you added an exhaust system.

Well with the other cars on the market using this intake, gains are still there with exhaust.

I thought Intake+Exhaust+Uprev = Gains on these cars even when Exhaust+Intake < Gains

Ok, I am a little confused here. There was so much interest in this intake and "when is going to be ready" questions, but now the intake is fully released and now there is no interest at all? Very interesting to say the least.

To answer the question about the M35 intake, with the pace of sales for the M45 intake, tells me that the odds of the M35 intake being released will not happen. Just a bit of information that I needed to throw out there, not as a scare or selling tactic, but me being brutally honest. Ask yourself, why would a manufacturer want to produce an item for it to NOT sell?

Dude,
I was very interested in this intake, however you guys took way too long without frequent updates and assurance that this product was ever going to be released. So therefore I went with the Injen Intake, I was getting my car tuned and I wanted to have an intake on when I got it done. I'm still interested but to be honest I'm in no rush to shell out another $300+ for intake right now without any guarantees of gains or that its proven to be better than the Injen intake.

^ theres a dyno graph showing gains on this thread. OP thats how things go for the M crowd people ask for something to be made but then when it becomes produced everyone who wanted it disappears when its not 100 dollars. To me this intake is the same price as the competition so its not over priced or too cheap/poor quality. Maybe when the warmer weather or tax season comes around there will be more sales but like Royal said it did take a while so some of the people might not be frequent forum surfers to notice you actually produced it. I think the m35 intake sales would've been higher due to the larger amount if other mods available for the m35... For example, the plenum spacer along with your intake wouldve been a great selling tool....also I think there are more m35 owners ....just a guess....I could be wrong....I think taking pre-orders with a definite release date would have been a better option.....just reading the thread, I can see how many have lost interest.....

IMO this just took toooo long, over a year to make. I'm sure most people just lost interest as many here have stated that most air intakes for the M45 don't produce gains, infact most have stated that they have lost power or torq.

This kit should have been made before the summer started, not in the fall when many are already thinking about winter.

And your introductory price of $310 for this new product is some what high, first 10 kits should have been sold really cheap just to get the hype out (if it really produces 10hp). Then you can price it according to your competition and even maybe blow them away. You first have to get the word out.

I'm sure if this kit was priced at $250 shipped for the 1st 10 buyers you would have members placing orders. As soon as the word gets out that it really works you would have even more orders.

Delay, time released and price are all factors why your not getting orders and lets not forget these tough times. :ohno: Some members might not even be here any more or even own an M at that.

I wish you luck and hope for the best because we all know that the M family is limited in after market products. This I hope will all change as soon as all these M's start hitting the $15k purchase price which the younger crowd will be able to get there hands on them.

if the price was to be lowered to $250 shipped I'll even take a chance and send you a paypal payment.
