And here come all the excuses. It took to long, it's too late in the year, the price is too high. It really gets old hearing about the price as I put them out there as inexpensive as I could and still make a dime for my efforts and keeping in mind competitors pricing. Then to get slapped in the face by the old "price is to high" comment. So you can pinch yourself now and wake up because you are dreaming to see these sell for $250 shipped.

Taking preorders is like a group buy, 99% of them never leave the ground.

Yes it has taken quite sometime for these to be released and alot of R&D invested. This project was only taken on because of the hype shown.

Maybe the m35 intake will be released, maybe it won't. Not in my control as you also have to find test vehicles to finish products.

I'm not bitter, just trying to keep modifications for these cars coming. Very little support for them now. I'm gonna simply the ordering process by adding to my site and I'm going to try to pull one last string for pricIng structure. May not be alot but any little bit helps in the end.

I just received mine yesterday and the quality looks excellent. No promises guys, but I am hoping to install it on Sunday. It is my anniversary this weekend so I am going to be busy :naughty:

I will take pics during the install and post them up along with my impression after a few laps.

Just because I hate to see things fail, I have taken the liberty of lowering the price. Details can be seen in first post. I will offer this price for a short time only. I have made the ordering process easy by adding the intakes to our site. I will be updating other products offered in the very near future.

Completed the install today. Here are my thoughts:

Quality product overall. The instructions with pics helped greatly. Install took maybe 1.5-2 hours b/c of a few hard to reach bolts and BSing with my father-in-law. I would say there is a definite increase in power. Not neck-breaking by any means, but noticeable. I have a Megan exhaust, so I cannot tell if there is much of a sound increase. It is not as noisy as other intakes I have had on previous vehicles. Fitment is decent, but we had to make some tweaks. I had to bend one of the brakets a bit, the coupler is oversized, and I was not able to get my cover back on. I think maybe with some more tweaking I might be able to get the cover on but I actually like it off. The black nickel looks great, but I did have a small crack/bubble in the coating. I will send pictures to you Mike.

IMO, I give the intake a thumbs up overall and want to thank R2C and Mike at Tunerz Store for helping support our community.

I passed the information along about Mike's write up and here was the response:
I’m concerned with the black nickel flaw he mentioned.

The system requires precise rotation of the coupler and tube before securing. The bracket on the fender must mount below the sheet metal and not above. The photos should be clear. As you can imagine, no bending is necessary based on the installs we’ve done.

We’ll consider any suggestions as we move forward with these installs.

I wonder how hard it would be to adapt this to the Y34.

I had a chance to do a bit more driving today. I mashed the gas while cruising at 40, the tach jumps from 3k-6.5k and I was at 80 within seconds. Much faster out of the gate as well. I typically drive slow b/c of the gas mileage overall, so the speed racers on here might not notice it as much as me. I cannot recall the last time I slammed the gas out of the gate. Must be getting old :)

They will not cross over unfortunately. This was the initial thought but soon learned it will not work.

This intake was only test fitted on the 05-10 M45. If there are ANY slight differences in intake design for other years, it obviously will not fit properly.

the only thing different is the MAF holder, so if you can fab this piece up, all the existing 350z intake pipe (ie. AEM pipes) will fit without any issue.

I did not personally see the fitment issue, so I can't comment. They are making one to specifically fit the M35, so something must of have been way off in order to do this.

That is the plan, but it is also based on the M45 sales as well. That is why I'm pushing this and almost giving them away. The M35 intake should be closer in price to the G/Z intake that is currently out, hopefully.

Order received.

Filter doesn't require oil. Just needs to be cleaned with max 60psi of air from inside out. If extremely dirty, mild detergent and water. Very easy maintenance with this filter.

Ok i rceived my intake WOW fast shipping orderd it Tuesday night received it Friday..I havent put it on yet but i have to say i was skeptical at first like everyone because the mass produced intakes are a little cheaper but i thought this was made just for the M45 so i figured i would give it a try, and let me tell you this is the best looking and biggest piping and filter i've ever seen on a intake, you can just tell it was well thought out and the materials are first class. once i put it on i will take pictures and tell how it works out , but to everyone out there waiting i can say in my opinion its well worth it..thanks for all your hard work
