time is coming for rear pads to be replaced. I did some reading and got confused a bit. Hoping someone can explain the differences/offer advice.
I was looking at akebono pads. There are two part numbers, one is Pro-ACT Ultra Premium and the other is Performance Ultra Premium
What would the difference be? Also are these the best pads for the sport breaks on M37? Should I look into other manufacturers?

Thanks

I know there is the standard pad..the ones that come on the car...and an upgrade pad offered by Nissan. Trying to find those part numbers...

Nevermind. The part I was thinking of is the Infiniti RSpec pads. They have a different part # altogether...D4060JL00K .

Would you recommend spending almost twice as much on these vs. ceramics by Akebono?

For normal driving, I would find a good ceramic pad. I've used Posi Quiet pads (ceramic) in the past and will probably go to them once I need new pads.

I think the akebonos perform pretty well for street driving.
