I have a 2012 infiniti m35h. Same car as m37 essentially. I have 20x8.5 wheels on now. Want to get spacers that bring the wheel flush with wheel well. I'm leaning toward 20 mm but looks like the front would need less than the back. Appreciate any feedback 👍

I'd like to see the rears of the wheels of sport 20's on various years...so we can figure out when the relief changed. And why some can run under 25mm spacers and others cant.

Even in this thread there are variations. On my 2015 and 2018 I can only run a 25mm (nothing smaller) - if it is smaller the main stud hits the wheel to where it won't sit flush with the hub.
Over the years I came into possession of more sets of the Y51 Sport wheels:
  • One set from my 2011
  • A set from each of my 2012s
  • A mystery set of wheels I bought from eBay
Surprisingly (or maybe not), the only "shallow" spacer wheel I saw was 1 out of 4 of my ebay purchase.
My guess is that it was bought as a replacement.

I wish we could get more participation/confirmation on what characteristics changed and the specific years that happened. For now, I put out an informational video for the interwebs:

Thanks for the video Ed. I speculated quite some time ago that the wheel design "change" as it relates to the back of the wheel likely took place in 2012. Your video seems to suggest/confirm that as well.
