M30 injector questions...

how big are M30 injectors? like, how many cc's do they flow? are they high or low impediance? and also, could I use a different type of injector with the infiniti M30 computer & wiring harness, like one thats not a flow thru type? thanks!

What is the model number of the VG motor in your M? You could try one of the engine threads here.

Its a VG30E like prettymuch everything else except for the fact that its a full sequential injection computer. And yes, i am sure its full sequential. I pulled the computer out and opened it up. Its got 6 individual injector drivers and the injectors share one wire(for the ground, I assume), and have one other seperate wire for each injector that runs all the way back to the ECU.

The early Zs have VG30Es don't they?

84 to 89 300zx's, 85 to 94 maximas, 87 to 00 pathfinders, 86.5 to 97 trucks, and all quest minivans. they all heve VG30E's. but not all of them have the sequential injection and sequential injection requires bigger injectors than normal.

All injectors are common in the +12v [single fuse] then the ecu grounds each one sequentially..............except for a few cycles of batch [all] firing in cold start........on the M30

thank you Q45tech! that explains why the common wire was red and not black, lol! do you know anything else about the M30 system that would be helpful from a performace standpoint? I plan on putting this system on a 1980 280zx and later adding boost. people swap in Z31 systems all the time to get rid of the flap style AFM, but I say why not go to sequential as well!

Do you know at what RPM point it switches to batch? I assume it goes to batch under WOT as well? but alas, you do not happen to know the injector size, do you? thanks for your insight!
