M30 fuel pump

At my work I sold a customer a fuel pump for a 90 Infiniti M30 the nipple is too long and will not fit into the fuel pump assembly. I am wondering if there were any TSB or updates that would allow the new fuel pump that bosch makes for this car?

not where the screen is but the outlet nipple, that one is too long, no one else makes a fuel pump that would be correct for this app.
