I used to have a Honda Prelude ( forgive me) and it would not down shift unless it was about to stall, and it would let you bounce off the rev limiter if you wanted. Much closer to a real "manual" than what we have.
well the 06+ ones are a little better you can hold the gears all day long. I do remember with a 03 Acura 3.2TL and if you put it into manual mode it just shift it for you, pretty lame whats the point of it.

Well people the verdict is in, It was the best out of 3. The first race i won by a fender. I left it in Drive and launched it around 1500rpm. The second time he won because i was daydreamin or something..lol. The third time i put it in manual and let the car do the shifting. Beat'em by a car. So being the soar loser that he is, he went and got his '02 GTP. Beat me pretty damn bad. But of course he has smaller pulleys, chip and intake plenium. So i had to go get Annamae. Gave him 3cars and a bust, then beat him by three cars. i will say this, launching the M is not an easy thing to do. i practiced a couple of times before i raced him. What's funny is that i raced a previous gen. max in my stang when it was stock. Beat it. But i beat a mustang in my M. But some people are saying that the previous gen M is faster then the M. I guess it reaally does come down to the driver. I have beaten a lot of cars in the M and my mustang that i shouldn't have.

I will have to post the mph later, I'm currently at work and my slips are at home...but i do know i ran 14.8 the first, the second was around 15.6 and the last was 14.1. That was on a little less than a 1/4 tank of gas, no spare and i wore a wifebeater some thick socks(no shoes) and a thong

Good work!

I forgot to mention the "keep the gas tank low" ... save every unnecessary weight item! But I think you thought of that anyway.

Nice job! My previous car before the M was an '04 Maxima and I thought that it would be close, but didn't want to get beat on in the forums. I think the transmission in the M is a poor match for the 4.5L and there is about a .5 second lost because of it. Fine for luxury/comfort, but poor for enthusiastic driving.
