Happy birthday dude. I give you INSANE amounts of respect for tackling a rusty car like that. And I thought MY car was rusty.

Hey nice project man. I would never have patience for something like that. About that Ka Crossmember, would you be willing to sell it?

Amazing job. I can't imagine how much you have learned from this. Keep up the good work man. We are all going to want a grand total in the end. Something like this has always been an idea but to much time and money need to be dedicated.

Do you go to school? Where do you work?

alright, i know i've been slacking with the updates lately. for the last 2 or so weeks i've been working on building a rotisserie. i got this far and i realized this is taking way too long and i'm only like half way finished so i'm abandoning that project for now.

i started with 2 bed frames that my dad had lying around in his garage, and ended up with these:

definitely not done as you can see..

so back to the car.

got the 2 chunks of frame rail off.

then i started on the seam where the floor meets the rocker on the passenger side.

also got my sweet undercoating gun from canada to spray inside hard to reach areas like my frame rails and crap.

Image

so that's about it for now. tomorrow i am going over to the metal fab shop and picking up some sheet metal for the frame rails and i'll be doing some more cutting on the floor/rocker seam on the driver's side:

i order all my nissan stuff from midway parts team in AZ, http://www.midwaypartsteam.com

i have definitely learned a LOT through all of this. yes i go to school. i work at a movie theater making minimum wage (almost)
UsJdmTuner wrote:nice build very inspiring.. can you tell me your setup on sand blasting..
(page 1) i use an air compressor with a sandblasting gun and a bucket of sanitized play sand. all i do is wheel the car out into the driveway and blast in the open so i don't get sand all over the garage. when i'm done i just wheel it back inside, sweep up the sand and run it through a screen to remove all the crap.

i want to do it in the garage myself but my mom doesn't want me to for some reason so i gotta take it somewhere to get it done.
