thanks! i haven't done any more with the RB yet, trying to get some more stuff back on the car first. interior stuff and wiring harnesses will probably come after the suspension and everything on the outside of the car is mostly together.

I admire your dedication. I'd like to think I wouldn't quit halfway through and just sell off all the parts, but I probably would. Serious kudos for sticking with it and doing all that hard work by yourself. I can't wait to see how everything comes together.

thank you!

got a couple little things done this week.

clutch and brake pedals are reassembled-

got the dash support and steering column back in-

bought a new coil pack cover for the RB since the one that came with mine was painted horribly. i tried stripping it to repaint and was spending way too much time on it so i figured i'd just get a new one.

Image

also, here are the prototype aluminum pieces i made for the brake hardlines. still need to test fit them. i may make some more sets if they work out good. probably would be better than the plastic ones anyways.

that's all for now! :)

looks like these aluminum brake line holders are going to work! :dblthumb:

if anyone's interested in these instead of the plastic ones, i may be able to make a few more sets in the near future.

^LMAO... I'm guessing you're too young to remember the times before everyone had broadband wireless when you had to warn people with a slow connecton that there were a lot of pics in your thread.

LOL yeah that pretty much sums it up. i started this thread back in '08 when people were still putting those in their thread titles to warn for pics. and page 1 has a ton of pics.

also just noticed i've been registered on here for 10 years now!

I have 30k in my 240. When this project is done, I cannot fathom what you will have spent. Real quality though. I like watching this come along.

Hey man awesome build. Cant wait to see it finished up. I remember seeing this thread back in 2009 when i actually had my 240. Id be scared to drive it after putting 10 years of my life into it. Great job though. How did you manage keeping track of all the pieces and bolts over the years? :dblthumb:

thanks dude! yeah i'm probably going to be scared to drive it at first haha. as far as keeping track of things, i have a huge list of nissan part numbers that i've ordered, and all the suspension bolts and stuff i labeled the bags they were in so i knew what went where. aside from that i have all the other stuff in boxes divided up into their own sections like engine related, interior, front/rear suspension, etc.

haven't had a whole lot of time lately to do much. i did manage to finally complete a set of the brake line clamp things that i am satisfied with. ended up using a thinner piece of aluminum for the "front" side, and counterbored the bolt holes for a clean look. then i painted them black along with a bunch of other stuff.

i used the same eastwood 2k satin black on these parts. i love the finish on this paint.

cleaned and painted the j30 5-bolt axles

did the cas, cas bracket, ignitor chip bracket, lower timing cover, water pump pulley, and crank pulley
