Hello all,

I have some issues with my 96 Nissan Maima shifting abit hard from 1st to 2nd. I was reading that Lucas tanny fluid helps out. I have read some people saying you cant use Lucas transmission additive in the maxima transmission and some day its was awesome for there maxima.

Just woundering if anyone call verify if its okay to use Lucas Tanny Additive or not? If so, would it help the shifting?

ThanksExo

hey, I read your post this morning and was able to get a hold of my lucas oil rep, and to his knowledge he knew of no known problems with running the transmission additive in the maxima transmissions. it is a petrolium base and there is no solvents added to it that would be harmful to the transmission. i have personally used it in my 94 acura integra and worked great (and honda transmissions are really picky about what kind of fluid goes in them).
