lt1 motor swap into 240

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

i have a nissan 240 sx and a pontiac trans am. im planning to pull the lt1 motor out and putting it into the nissan 240. im looking for mount kits and oil pans. i searched on mckinney motorsports and found some parts like oil pan and mounts. what about the wiring harness and driveshaft tranny mounts. does anyone have any advise or pointers or any problems you came across when installing the motor and getting it to run. also what other parts am i going to need. any help will help.even if you can refure me to another site to look up parts or infomation. thank you

You will have to make your own trans crossmember. This is not a hard swap you dont even need a mount kit TBH. I think that were Check G10 Van mounts, Nova front sump pan and your in. Is your trans T5 or T56?

Not with the valve body i put in the transmission instead of the stock valve body. It shifts when I shift. And I am trying to find whatelse I need to get because I have both cars off the road an started to drop the motor out the ta.I think I'm going to need to rewire or find a wire harness to make the 240 dash worki will after I'm done give you a list of what you will need but I'm still trying to find out what I'm going to need

Only thing you need forthe dash to work is dakota digital converters for tach and speed, and you can tap in for the water temp and oil pressure using oem gauges

I am not planning on using any factory gauges,... or dash for that matter. all that has already been removed. The only original wiring that I want to keep is the lights. Is this possible without having to pull the harness apart, or would it be easier to just rewire the lights.

Don't use a T5, try to find a T56. Our LT1's tear through t5's like candy. They're a garbage weak transmission. Yeah the t56 is pricey but by the time you replace the t5 a few times you could have bought one.

You want to do what I did, but you wont have a working fuel gauge because the Nissan sweep is reverse from aftermarket gauges unless you come up with your own sending unit.

you kept an interior in yours,.... I am leaving mine stripped. even pulled the dash and all the heat and air. I may pull the factory fuel tank and run a cell in the trunk. I haven't decided on that yet.

you get your motor and trans in and then you contact shaft-masters and tell them what trans you have and what car and diff type (ABS or non), they will send you instructions on where to measure and you will have a shaft in a few days for cheap.
