LT 1 swap into 84 720 4x4

I am considering puting a96 chevy LT 1 in my 84 720 king cab 4x4,can it be done if so any tips or pit falls.

Sure why not. Its a bit of work but can be fun, I hope you are good at fab work.

Pitfalls? I looked up the motor and optispark seems to be a weird spark system.

Have torch and mig can fab pretty well.As far as the opti-spark going to convert to hei and carb, not sure about trans yet,any suggestions

nope. I don't Know much about domestics, but see a lot of people using t56's out of f-bodies. I know more people are doing LS swaps than LT swaps. IDK if the same bolt pattern is used on LTseries motors.

Also I don't know about the weight of that motor... is it all aluminum? If not, it could throw off some balance in the truck.
