Are you asking about the ticking/tapping sound? Or something else?
For tick/tap I'd first hope and guess stuck/sticky lifter tick, with the possible option of rod bearing. My 234K NA went rod bearing unfortunately.

At your next oil change use liquimoly engine flush. Should help clear up any caked on gunk and varnish. Stuck in any oil galleries and stuck in important places where oil need to flow freely. I used it at my last oil change 1k ago and usually 2 months in the oil is very dark. But now it is still very clean and golden still plus im using liquimoly 5w30

So I got the pain out not easy but doable rod bearings are out no sign of damage 1 might have been slightly loose. Anything else I should check while down here.

Check the crankshaft endplay to ensure the crank bearings are OK is all I can think of other than super-cleaning the oil pickup...hopefully someone with more VG engine work experience than me chimes in if there's more.

I think mine makes a slightly similar noise and has for awhile, but when I had the pan off all the bearing caps I tried to move to check for play and there was nothing. This is with the install of a new TT oil pump so pressure is higher than a normal N/A motor. So I would say don't worry about it. What I'm going to do is just send my oil off for analysis every oil change to make sure things are ok. It's been 1.k and really no signs or anything bad, and there's no lifter tick

Ok so replaced the rod bearings and a new oil pick up tube screen on old one was slightly loose on the side. driven the car maybe 15 miles or so been driving it hard but not red line it yet. so far seems good hearing some other noises but im assuming its me just being sensitive to sounds for now. im calling it good.
