JWT Pop Charger + Z tube will give u a nice deep low end + high end sound. umm my set up in the begining was a skunk2 plenum Spacer + AEM CAI and after 5k RPM it roars like a beast. i loved it its like nissan Vtec ahaha. u can also try Jwt Pop charger + ztube + 5/16 motordyne plenum spacer with mrev2 plenum. enjoy :D

Also, you could put some high flow cats or test pipes on it. That'd make it louder, too.

What is there to be more specific on? High flow cats go in place of the factory catylitic converters, as do test pipes. They simply allow more exhaust flow out.

Why would you want your car to be louder in the first place? All that does is attract more attention from cops. I think the stock exhaust sound of the VQ is perfect.

BTW, jerome, your coupe is super clean. Got any more pics of it?

Thanks, man. I appreciate the props.

Of course I do. And, I understand what he's saying about wanting it to be louder. I have some Kinetix high flow cats on mine, coupled with an Injen CAI. I love it. However, I LOVE the sound of the HKS coupled with the high flow cats even more.

agg...i hate when people say 'why would you want your G louder?' because you want to customize it to be your own. I have mine set at 92.5db, 93db is the limit in cali....i havent been pulled over in my G once. oh and for those who dont know sound-93db is twice as loud as 92db.

haha that is awesome. how do glass packs sound on the g35 engine? is there any way that you could upload a sound file? and what did yuo do? you had to get true duals i assume? yea if you could upload a sound file or something on here or youtube or something that would be aweosme, i was looking into getting some for my g because they are really cheap for such a good sound, but i wasnt sure how they would sound, and i still only have the stock OEM exhaust

Actually, for volume to double, it has to increase 3db...

Do they actually measure how loud your car is in Cali?? I thought emissions sucked!

oh.....crap hes right. it is 3 db.....lol. i was thinking about my comp amps..... it takes twice the power to get another db out of a sub....lol

and emissions do suck here. i can just unbolt and re-insert the cats when its time for emmisions(only once every 2 years)

i get the whole concept of customizing a car to make it more personalized, thus the term 'custom'

but why would anyone want to have the loud "stock" car. to me that just screams ricer and rather pathetic. i just purchased an 07 G35 a few days ago, and yes the 305 hp is great for a budget family sedan/wife's daily, but in no way should anyone think that little hp consitutes a "fast" car which only then might justify a louder exhaust.

just my $.02.

i dont have a family car G. I have a coupe. And yes the G is not a ricer, its a tuner car. If you were into this sort of thing you would know that the BMW M-3 and the G-35 are the top of the line in the Tuner world(without spending 250k). This car is a real tuner.

Hey David... I got two more cents. I did the JWT/Z tube/Plenum spacer as well, (and you're right, it does seem that is the most given answer to the 'mod' question... prolly because it is relatively inexpensive, and has nice results), but I also got myself a GRedddy SP2 axle-back system. It is very easy to install, and yielded a nice deep sound without spending $1,500 on a full cat-back system. It is nice and mellow under normal driving, and has a great sound under hard acceleration, although, not too loud.

Here's a link to a pic of it: http://www.partshippers.com/in...=1003I actually got mine, barely used, for $250 from the Classified forum. I may add a mid pipe, and high flow cat later, but for now, it is just right for me.

Hope this helps!
