Lost performance

I recently installed some performance headers on a 2001 Sentra 1.8L. I took both converters out and ran a straight pipe all the way out with a resonator and the stock muffler at the end to provide some backpressure. Ever since then, my car lost a lot of power and hardly takes off when i step on it. I need to floor it so it can get going and even then, its not as fast as before. It has a very rough idle when i come to a stop as well. All fittings are in place; o2's, erg. Would like to know if anyone has any information on what might be causing this and how i can hopefully restore my performance back. Any information is appreciated.

I'd have a good look at that O2 and I'd check the ecu for codes, I don't knwo much abotu sentra's but do they ave a kock sensor? kinda sounds like saftey mode

Check for codes, I'm 99% certain you'll have at least some O2 sensor ones. Sounds like your car has gone into safe mode or you inadvertently messed with something during the install. Have you done anything else to the car before or after this mod?

Appreciate the advice. Turns out that the O2 sensor were the cause. I was noticing that my car would start up great when cold, but i notice that i started having problems when the sensor went into close loop. Knowing this, i purposely disconnected both O2 and sure enough, my performance was restore with check engine light trigger. Upon further diagnostics, i found that the O2's were extremely lazy and were both staying on the lean side. I replace both, and now am able to enjoy my ride. thanks again
