Although from you described about the sensor it could be throwing the ecu off, is it possible for you to take any pics of the setup now? I think that might help out a ton.nametakennow wrote:It's probably a matter of driving style and conditions. You should actually get slightly better mileage because of the better intake efficiency.
I dont have a digi camera, but santa is coming All I did was remove the entire filter box, and the tube that sat behind the headlight. In place of that I put in an eBay MAF adapter, and a cone filter. Now the filter sits directly behind the battery. I left the factory box that mounts behind the front bumper. I have the sensor stuffed in there. The sensor wont reach back up to the filter, unless I trace it back and try and rerun the wire.NSR_s30 wrote: Although from you described about the sensor it could be throwing the ecu off, is it possible for you to take any pics of the setup now? Exactly, its dangling inside the factory duct work that goes down behind the bumper. Maybe I should zip tie it up as close to the cone filter as possible. Then it would be readig the same air as the fillter is getting.nametakennow wrote:If where is the sensitive part of the sensor? You mentioned plugging it in some hole. If it's one of the ones in the fenderwell, for instance, you'll be reading colder air than you're actually taking in and losing MPG.
