Hello, I have a 1994 Nissan Sentra, within 1-2 years of buying the vehicle brand new the fuel pump went out...we took it back to the dealer and it was replaced. 3 years later it burned up again. This time it was replaced by my father in our garage. Then again 4 years after that it left my father along side the highway again. By now we knew something was terribly wrong. So instead of replacing the fuel pump with a Bosch pump...we replaced it with an OEM, and replaced the fuel vent cap, and the fuel pressure regulator. The so far has run true...although it doesnt have any power at all...and gets horrible fuel milage....anyone know whats wrong?

The light is amber in color and says Service Engine Soon.

This is an OBDI vehicle, so the diagnostic codes from the ECU (which trigger the light) are going to be relatively general.

It sounds like you just have a lemon. Have the fuel injectors been replaced or at least cleaned in this time?
