What are you talking about? too many noobs??

the youngest player on the team (aside from Coby Karl, who doesn't play) is Jordan Farmar and he's playing at a degree where he could be mistaken as a veteran! he's probably the best sophomore point guard in the league! only one close is Daniel Gibson. and who else would you consider a "noob"? Sasha? Bynum? Turiaf? if so, please explain to me what makes their gameplay and contributions "noob"-like.

how can you say there's "no way" the Lakers win it all? they're number 1 in the Western Conference during a time when the league has the most talent and competition it's had in years, and in the eyes of pretty much every NBA analyst, are the "team to beat". they're pretty much a shoo-in for the Conference Finals at least.

Don't get angry just because you are from So-Cal and have a soft spot for the Lakers. I have about as neutral an opinion as this thread is likely to see. Bynum is a n00b. Like it or not. He's yet to be tried and true under pressure in the playoffs, much less the finals. Come to think of it, barring Derek Fisher and Kobe Bryant, who on the Lakers has Finals experience? Yeah. They are n00bs which have yet to be put under any real pressure. Kobe is the clutch player for the Lakers and as long as a team has only one clutch player, they'll never win it, even with the league as sorry as it is now.

...wait for it.........waaaaait for it.......

.....maybe.......PAU GASOL?? LAMAR ODOM?? almost the entire Laker roster has playoff experience minus a select couple.

you're crazy if you honestly think the league is "sorry" right now. the Western Conference is so tight that losing two games in a row could bring you from 2nd or 3rd to 5th or 6th.

years of being in the league have no reflection on quality of gameplay. if Andrew Bynum is a "noob", then so is Deron Williams. so is Chris Paul.

did Dwayne Wade have "Finals experience" when Miami won the 05-06 championship? come to think about it, did ANYONE on Miami have "Finals experience" besides Shaq?

Ummmm Gary Payton? Udonis Haslem? Alonzo Mourning? Quadruple the Lakers experience.

Paper basketball is gay though. The Lakers have potential but I just don't think they have enough talent now to win it all. Proof is in the pudding though.

^^none of which have "Finals experience" (as you say) except for Gary Payton, but that was back in '96 with the Sonics (wikipedia ftw).

I don't know about you, but I would take a combo of Fisher/Kobe/Odom/Gasol/Bynum anyday over Wade/Payton/Haslem/Mourning/Shaq.

Hahaha you wiki'd those players and still didn't find that they competed in the Finals? Fail. At the end of the day, we agree to disagree and we'll see whether they win it all or fold like a house of cards. My money is on the fold.

what?? yeah, they played in the Finals for the first time in the 05-06 season, in which they WON. the point was that they didn't have "finals experience" before they entered that Final, and yet they still won. you Fail.

The only reason I'd agree is that you will get more time out of that combo. But they are less experienced. Now lets have a vocabulary recap here. Less experienced does not mean less talented. Since that fact doesn't seem to be clear to some.

more talent = more potential.

experience isn't always necessary if you've got the talent and confidence to make up for it. The Lakers may be less experienced as an entire unit compared to some other teams.. but if you look at their starting five, they've got enough individual experience to go around two-fold. and who's to say they're not already clicking? and we've already seen how deadly their benchers can be.

experience isn't always better than sheer talent. give me Lebron James over Robert Horry anyday.

I agree 100%. But experience is better than sheer talent in specific circumstances. The finals being those circumstances. Once again though the proof is in the pudding.

Yeah, had he not lost his mind the Mavs would have swept the South Beach Lakers in those Finals. I was sooooo pulling for the Mavs. I hated Shaq making those STUPID comments that "this is by far the best team I've ever been on".

Forgetting the machine that steamrolled thru the playoffs in 00-01 season.

^^haha I remember that season.

the Lakers swept every team up until the Finals where they lost the opening game to the Sixers.. and then finished them off 4-1 after that. I remember watching the game at my church, we were all big Laker fans. I was like 14 years old but I remember it like it was yesterday hahah.

Stupid Shaq.

We almost came back last night. I hate when they don't come out with intensity, and then wait till later to kick it up a notch.

We should beat them tonight. It's good to see that even without Bynum, Ariza, Gasol and Mihm, that we can still be competitive though.

and the Lakers pull out with yet another W.

IMO they won because of Lamar Odom. not just because he dropped that lay-up with like 9.1 seconds left in OT, but his monster play on the boards. following up his 19point-22rebound game sunday, tonight he went for 21points-21rebounds

props to Mr. Odom

Odom is a beast. He's by far the most versatile big man in the NBA.

Tonight should be easy. You never know.

They always lose interest with the Bobcats and get these type of results. See what they do with Memphis tonight. They should destroy them if they have an ounce of pride......losing to Charlotte

I know! They will get their act in together. I'm happy to see that Phoenix is doing well, because I think we need that extra dig. Something to inspire these guys.

NOW is the time to kick it in high gear. Win out, and send a message to the Spurs, Hornets and the rest of the west, that we will be there at the end going for #10 in LA baby!!!
