What particular years are you interested in? Be sure to also check our classifieds, where there's some Qs for sale.

There are various things to look for, besides a [low price. A low price is usually indicative of a car that has not been maintained and the owner has just been made aware of a $1k, $2k or even $3k repair/refurbishment that needs to/must be done for the car to perform for the next 30-60k.

Look for a full set of service records, spend the money (~$100) to have an Infiniti (master) Tech inspect the car, and tell you everything it needs now and over the next few years. More than likely, he'll present you with a list of items that will be between $2k and $4k.

Yes, there are lowering springs available.

Try to buy from the original owner if you can find one. Later owners usually don't care and maintenance goes down fast. These cars are a bargain. Don't pay too much, because ANY one that you buy will require you to pay $1000 in parts and repairs in the first month. They're straightforward to work on, get the manual and check it carefully at first. Read Wes's sticky. I prefer the 90-93, but that's because I have one. Buy one built in 8/92 or newer to avoid the chain guide problems.

Since you nissans, this should be easy. Basically the Q is a mix between a Z32 and R32 with 4 doors and a V8.... Should be fun!
