looking for specific how to. evap control valve

I finally acted on my car problem, thx to this site. maxhopper etc. evap valve and canister. for the po446 code. hopefully that will take care of the engine light. how do I install this thing. I know where it is and I got the car on the lift. just need the how to.. thx for help

dude im pissed off. i changed the canister an dthe valve and its still showing the po446 code. for somereason teh valve was on upside down and it wasnt even CONNECTED to th eelectric port. i installed new and connected it but im not even sure if its gettin proper voltage. so that could be the problem. also there are 2 line goin out the canister. 1 for fuel 1 for air. the fuel one connects to a white housing and i notcied that is broke. i think its called teh vaccuum control valve . but its white and its connected to teh charcoal canister via a few short hoses. I have no idea what to do. or why its still reading the po446. also now i have a p1400 which is egrc valve. i know that is under the hood i guess im having to change that too..an dlastly my knock sensor code went off too. but I heard the knock sensor doesnt trick the check engine light. but does that mean a faulty knock sensor will stop your car from gettin a inspection sticker.

i just read changing the pcv valve has shut off a po446 code in many cases. i do not see the relation but im gonna giv ethat a try tommorrow
