hoaky, there is an M30 in the local junkyard and I am looking to pull a few parts off of it for my 280zx. yes, for my 280zx. I want the fuel injection computer and wiring harness. 280zx = batchhfire, infiniti M30 = sequential, correct? If the M30 is sequential, how big are the injectors? as this may very well go onto a Turbo 280ZX motor to go in my car. I know for a fact that people have done Z31 turbo injection swaps on 280zx's. they do it to get rid of the lame *** flap style airflow meter and gain some control over the events inside thier engines.

Also, Does the M30 have a viscous LSD? some say yes, some say no, someone has to know for damned sure. Also, could I pull JUST the LSD unit and put it in a regular R200 so I could use it in my 280zx without the funky halfshafts? Like, can I just bolt the LSD part to my ring gear and call it a daY? I have a freind that knows how to shim and align diffs, so this may be worth while. Or possibly put it in a 4.11 R200 from a 200sx turbo.... hrmmm, can you say LAUNCH?

thats about all I can think of right now. thanks in advance!

M30? What is the M30? Please excuse my ignorance in this, but I don't recall ever hearing of an M30.

Ryan, Ryan, Ryan.

To become a TRUE Infiniti Master, one must know the model lineup back to 1989.

Use the force (or Google, whichever's easier). :D

Greg, I did the search. Interestingly enough, I had never seen an M30 before. And a convertible Infiniti is something I had never seen before either. What took it's place in the lineup?

Nothing really. Only 'vert ever by the chrome oval guys. There will be a G35 'vert in late 05, not sure how it'll fare.

The G20 filled the M30's place pretty well until very recently, however the demise of the G20 has left an unfilled gap in the lineup. M30 was a great "personal luxury coupe", much like the new G.

However, it was a wise move for "image", as now Infiniti has almost completely distanced itself from Nissan products - Something Acura and Lexus have yet to learn.
