225's on a 7" are fine - 225's can rage from a 6" to a 7.5", with the measuring rim width being 6.5"...evildky wrote:stretched tires? a 2.5 on a 7" wheel isn't stretched, a 215 might be a better fit but 225's are a bit wide for a 7"
anyhow, yes zero offset 15x7's will fit perfectly, they clear the stock suspension and stock bodywork
Stock wheels are 15x6.5 and come with 215s. I have 225s on the stock wheels and yes. They are a bit bulgy, but not outlandish. I have 255s on a set of 17x9s and am looking to go wider when they wear out. So that's only 1.5" wider tires on a 2" wider wheel. So, in my humble opinion, a 205 on a 7" wide wheel is dumb. Then again, it may be due to all the mexicans I see driving with gold daytons and stretched tires down here.evildky wrote:stretched tires? a 2.5 on a 7" wheel isn't stretched, a 215 might be a better fit but 225's are a bit wide for a 7"

Looks like I'm going to pick up that set of the sportmaxx 16x8's. You were talking about a stretched tire and spacers; I heard it wasn't the best thing in the world to run them.evildky wrote:the 16x8's are really tight, you have to stretch a tire or maybe ever run a spacer to clear, seems everyone has slightly different fitment issues with the 8's
