Location of PCV valve on 1998 Infiniti

I am new to this forum and did do a search, but I did not find a posting to my question. I have a 1998 Infiniti I30t (200,000 plus miles) and I want to replace the PCV valve among other things. The FSM indicates that it is located on the rear valve cover adjacent to the firewall on the passenger side. What I find is a metal threaded plug with hose. I am familiar with PCV valves that push-pull into a rubber grommet. Am I looking in the wrong place? Any help would be appreciated.
