Right side front wheel well, you have to take the rear plastic splash shield off, or bend down.

If you haven't done so yet, you need to download the free service manual. There is one on this forum, but there is also one as an app, that you can actually go directly to the page numbers from the index instead of scrolling 600 pages.

Location of the resistor is on page AT36 of the service manual

We're all in this adventure together!. Now, if you want to get fancy a Z owner in Australia wired in a switch with 3 different resistor values and he can tune his shifts for the type of driving he is doing.

And if you have not done it, a transmission cooler is a necessity on these cars, don't know why Nissan did not do it.
